As a part of BMT Stakeholder Engagement Plan, BMT continues to engage with the community across Umm Qasr port and town. Lastly, on October 15, 2021. BMT representatives have paid a visit Fishermen village to provide update on BMT Yard 5 construction project.

BMT has been very well welcomed with its approached and representatives from the fishermen have expressed their gratefulness to BMT for provision of the information, representatives stated that the believe the project will bring new jobs and contribute positively to Umm Qasr and economy of Iraq. No issue or concern has been raised by the fishermen during the visit. BMT will continue to engage with all relevant communities to ensure them keep updated.
